Maya is the girl you've always wanted to be: rich, beautiful, a New-Yorker. The thing is, she's got a few problems up her sleeve. A few too many problems.
One rainy night, desperate to end her life, Maya runs away, but before anything happens, a certain someone appears.. Perhaps it's fate, but he ends up changing her life forever...
Dan and Maya have always felt more like friends than a couple of strangers who met the wrong time. Much more than friends with a six-year age difference.
Together, they share an apartment in the city, along with Dan's friend Phil, after Maya's mother kicks her out. The stress of their lives--and the way Dan and Maya understand each other so completely--has brought them closer than two friends would ordinarily would.
So close that they've fallen in love.
Dan knows what the media would do if they found out he was dating a girl six years younger than he was.
Maya knows that she's still hiding some secrets.
They both know that their relationship is wrong and can't possibly continue. And yet, they are powerless to stop what feels so incredibly right...

Night
"Life isn't temporary anymore and death isn't permanent, the lines so blurred it's best if you just avoid thinking about it." The world has ended. Humanity is on the brink of death. The apocalypse is real, has been for a long time now, and life will never be the same. Phil is afraid, afraid of losing his one tie to this world that despite it all keeps him going with the desire to keep them both alive, with a love he can't admit. Dan is worn down but determined, not willing to give in despite the overwhelming circumstance. He'd sooner die than lose Phil to anything. They look out for each other, separation is out of the question. In a world where everything familiar is dead and gone, just one person standing by your side can be the difference between sanity and chaos, and for the two of them, the other is that person. But how can love survive, when death is looming and one half doesn't even realize it exists? The world is a dangerous place, and even with the help of their not-quite human companion Cat and and group of newfound friends, there are new, unfound struggles in store for the pair and a secret neither of them will see coming. But then Dans parents got divorced after his mum figured out that he was abusing Dan.
