What would you do if you win two tickets to Paris, and end up stuck there with no way back home with your best friend? Alice and Jasmine have been best friends since the day they could talk, they were the type of friends that went with their imagination, no matter how crazy it was. One day, Jasmine decided to enter a drawing contest online for a chance to win two round-trip ticket to Paris. It was Alice's dream to go to Paris and play the piano under the Eiffel Tower, and Jasmine being the best friend she is wanted to make Alice's dream come true (no matter how crazy it was). What Jasmine didn't know was that she was going to end up winning the contest, and when she and Alice end up going, something tragic happens that made them end up getting stuck in the City of Love with no way back home. They both end up meeting new people and possibly falling in love with complete strangers. Before Kate, and her family were kicked out of their own city, their own country, and shipped to one of the most notorious concentration camps in Poland. Despite their ill luck, Kate remains forever hopeful. But even the hopeful aren't entirely naïve. Ever since she was a child, Kate has always wanted to be a hero. One of the heroines in her stories, to be specific. But what she doesn't know yet is that she is destined to become part of something bigger. With a boy she gradually realises she's in love with, and newfound friends in unexpected places, can Kate set out to save those she loves and more? Or will her decisions render the lives of not only thousands, but her own?
