Every urban legend began with a single truth.

In 1766, hat maker Cyrus Jones sharpened his blade and slit the throats of three men. He was later lynched in Bleakburn Woods. His body caught fire. The woods never recovered from the damage.

In 2016, Nina Woods is a teenager beyond happiness. Taunted by her peers and abused by her strict uncle, she wants to give up on life. But Bleakburn Woods offers Nina another chance - to get even with all those who have wronged her.

Smart and popular Ashley Owens witnesses high school bullying on a daily basis, but she does nothing to stop it. She's friends with the bully, Melissa Redding and her cohorts, vain Jordan Green and smoker Charlie Kane.

One day things went too far. The trio play a horrible prank on Nina. She never made it home.

Cyrus Jones will have his revenge.
