Disclaimer: i wrote this back in high school when i was highly mentally unstable, pulling all nighters, and over exerting myself in all sorts of ways. For you theater kids out there, I wrote a good portion of this during tech week. At no point in this story did i know what was going to happen next. There are plot holes, weird turns in the story, its a little cringy sometimes, and partway into it someone started pressuring me to follow a certain character. There are some funny moments, a little bit of smut, lovable characters. Looking back there are some moments that i really love, but if you are looking for a story that makes a lot of sense and has a strong story you are in the wrong place. This is an unstable teen writing on a whim. You've been warned. With that said go forth and be entertained~ You look down at your hands and quietly whisper to yourself, "Am I some kind of monster?" Yes, this is so original, isn't it? But, I think mine might be a bit different. Well, as I've been writing my other fanfics (and going to high school myself) I've been thinking of great scenarios that won't work, because the stories aren't present time. So, I decided to be unoriginal for once and write this. Panem High School is a prestigious private school in the Capitol of the country of Panem. It's where all the best, brightest, and richest citizens send their children to school. None of them are as one dimensional as they seem on the surface. This story is written from multiple POVs (at the moment, Katniss, Peeta, Johanna, Cato, Clove, Gale, and Madge), so that's different from all the other "Hunger Games High" stories I've read. There is Clato (just wait for it, it isn't instantly), Gadge, and other ships, so hooray for all of you shippers! Just when Nicky thought she could get through high school without too much boy-drama, a somewhat seemingly love life with a boy or two and suddenly, maybe even three was finally catching up with her during the last few months before high school graduation. She had never thought she could be wrong about a person. And that she could always be wrong about boys... ✨✨✨ Sidenote: I wrote this from November 2010 to April 2011, only a year ahead from the time set in the novel.
