Becoming a Freshman in college is new and exciting! Having complete independence and living in a dorm is even better, even if you have to share it with a roommate or two.
But little did Jenni know that she would have to spend her first semester with the roommate from hell...
[So just a heads up, I wrote this story way back {3 years ago?} during my first year of -- you guessed it -- college! No, this is not based on true events! I've never lived in a dorm or with a crazy roommate. It was simply an English project we had to do, so that's why it's a bit rushed and kind of short. I had to keep it within a certain number of pages, and I actually went OVER that amount. Luckily my teacher was cool about it, and I got an 'A' anyways. But I thought it was fun to write, and I thought the story itself was pretty interesting and unique, so I figured y'all could enjoy {or not enjoy?} it too! Let me know what you think!]

When I got home, I had this sense of urgency overtaking me. I needed to read those diary entries and I needed to read them fast. As a child you always fear the monster under your bed or in your closet. Maybe you watched a scary movie or were told a horror story to make you believe something was under there. You jump onto your bed and jerk your limbs away from the edge or always shut your closet door. Then you hide under the covers in hopes that they don't get to you. As you grow older you realize the invisible monster under your bed is just that, invisible. Its not that they don't exist, it's just that you don't see them. You write off the bumps in the night as the wind or shifting floorboards but they're lies. Little white lies you tell yourself so you can sleep at night. Well I'm here to tell you that whatever is causing those bumps is very real. In my case, the source doesn't hide in my closet but rather under my bed. And he's determined to drag me right there with him. Can you be friends with the monster under your bed? ** "Ask me Aria," he rasped.
