"Lumos", he whispered, a dim white light appearing from the tip of his wand. Just as he thought it may work, it died out, leaving him in darkness. Grace Carney was almost done with her last year at Ilvermorny when she ran into a strange man with a strange case. The girl had somehow avoided trouble, despite her sister's constant antics, but that came to an end the second he took her hand and said run. As Hogwarts trembles in the wake of Cedric Diggory's death, Vivienne finds herself caught in a web of secrets, dangerous alliances, and an alchemical quest that could change the fate of the wizarding world. And then there's him: Lucius Malfoy. Cold, untouchable, and everything she despises. But as the truth begins to unravel, their lives intertwine in ways neither of them expected. Between clashes, revelations, and impossible choices, Vivienne must decide whether she can trust him... or if her heart is leading her straight into danger. ---- "Do you make a habit of this?" he asked, his voice now a low murmur meant only for the scant inches between us.
