Black Roses

We were young in love back then, but now I don't even know what being married means.

We said death to us part, which is now falling apart.

What will the future make of us?

What will happen to the children?

Is it even worth trying? I thought as I ran my cocoa brown hands threw my thick black mane.

I can't even look at him the same, he turned his back when his family needed him most.

I found love in somebody else and it pained me.

I don't even want to love him, but the heart wants what it wants.

I cry thinking could it get any better?

Why is God testing me?

Was this marriage even meant to be?
