This book takes place in 1966 a year after The Outsiders but before That Was Then This is Now.

Ponyboy has been having a hard time dealing with his friends recent deaths. Death is everywhere

When Darry doesn't come home from work, it leaves Sodapop and Pony to worry for themselves. Not only is their loving brother gone, but they can't do anything about it or they'll be separated and brought to a boy's home. 

Two-bit's mom has fallen sick and Two-bit is taking it pretty hard, he's went from shoplifting to robbing to feed his family. 

Sandy has been coming around, and it's taunting Soda. When Sandy knows the father of her baby, maybe Soda will be surprised for the better or the worse. It doesn't help that Sodas been drafted

Steve and Evie have surprises to come and it could be hard for the gang to understand.

Johnny and Dallas's death is over everyone's head and influencing behaviours for the worst. Can the and will the gang recover.All Rights Reserved
