In the small city of Solitaria, people live together peacefully and without war. It is one of the rare cities that is able to resist the enticing pull of battle and the constant gripe for more. The people there are content to stay where they are and live simple lives. But all that changes one day when Solitaria is attacked. The men who desecrate its peaceful homes are not ones to be trifled with. They take what they want when they want it. And they want to conquer. But, they have one rule: only the strong may live in their cities. Those that can survive and fend for themselves. Even those that would resort to killing for their own gain. These attackers don't care who dies, and when they take all the youth from the city, they are fully prepared to kill them all. Instead, however, the kids are thrown into the barren and deserted land far to the East where none survive. They are told that if they manage to survive out there for a certain amount of time, then they can return to their homes. But the task isn't as easy as it sounds. This story lists the accounts of three youth who were forced to band together or die.
