On my Twitter account, I made this SL where a vampire family over threw the human king by killing him and his bloodline and decided that lesser races would be considered cattle which started a rebellion. This is the history of that empire.

Julia is on the run, fleeing for her life. An army of vampires ravage her country, plundering villages and enslaving their occupants. With the vampire horde closing in, Julia is forced to abandon her home and head south with the hope of reuniting with her brother. There they will build a new farm and live in safety. But one vampire lord has a different plan for her future. He tracks her down and takes her captive. No matter how hopeless her situation, she never gives up, risking her life to regain her freedom. He forces her down, punishing her when her defiant spirit hinders his mission. It soon becomes clear that she's nothing like the human soldiers he's used to dealing with. A sense a guilt begins to grow whenever he upsets the girl who both fears and leans into him for protection. Julia and the vampire lord are connected in ways they had never known. Their lives become entangled, bringing them to make decisions they would've never thought possible. Extract from Chapter 1: He unsheathes his blade, and I suddenly wish that he'd go back to poking me. He's going to cut me while I can't move? To torture me? I start to panic again. "No, no, no." I yank on the restraints, and the rope bites into my skin. I pull and pull and try to shuffle away from him. He presses the blade against my neck, and I freeze. "Fearful," he says. I catch a glimpse of his freakishly long canines. The edge of the blade presses on my skin, just enough not to draw blood.

Before I begin, I just want to say that this story does include some mature themes. I will also give out a warning a chapter prior to these scenes. Getting that out of the way, let's go onto the story description... *This book contains explicit content* *EXTRACT FROM THE BOOK* I stared at him, cooking and whistling, something that I could not do, or should I say, wasn't bothered to do. I decided to move away and to try and find an exit but I didn't even take one step back when I heard his voice. "Princess? Is that you?" I saw him raise his head before shooting his eyes onto me. The sudden gaze caused to heart to race while it froze my body as if I have turned into ice. I felt the fear engulf my body, eating me inside out. "You aren't scared of me... Are you?" he asked me, I sensed the envy in his voice. That mixed with his harsh tone caused a wave of goosebumps to course through my body. I wanted to begin by asking him where was I? Why was I here? Why was he here... I wanted to ask him, but I couldn't, the fear was just all too much for me. "Come on... Speak to me... Ask me..." he began. "Ask me 'why am I here' and all of that crap... Entertain me with your fear." I saw him slowly gripping a knife that was on the countertop, with his eyes still on mine. The sides of his mouth slowly began tilting upwards. All the bitterness and the cold, it was all so visible in his eyes. I looked at him in horror, noticing him as he took his first steps towards me. "Talk to me... Because this might be the only time you will ever be able to talk, " he said this sentence in such a calm tone, it caused me once again to shiver with goosebumps. "W-what do you mean...". Never in my life have I stuttered, until then.

He lowers his face, tickling my neck with the tip of his nose as he moves it up and down, inhaling deeply. A voracious growl rumbles deep from within his chest and I whimper again. "Just a taste will do but," he nips my neck. "I can't promise I'll be able to control myself." His hold on me tightens. Panic claws its way into my chest making my heart beat erratically. What did he mean by 'play games with me later?' Did he plan on taking me somewhere? Does that mean he wants to make my life a living hell until he's satisfied before giving me a long, torturous death? He didn't seem like the type to make it quick. I can feel his mouth on my neck. Tears start trickling down my face as I brace myself for the pain that I'm sure to feel. His lips part, teeth grazing me. I squeeze my eyes shut. Isabelle Grace is torn from hiding and thrown into a life of lust, fear, and hunger. Humanity has been enslaved by vampires and now, after three years of isolation, she must face the worst of them. A vampire has discovered her and he has no intention of ever letting her go. Suddenly, Isabelle finds herself questioning who she is as her body and mind fall victim beneath silver eyes and a hypnotic voice. Welcome to a world of blood and gore, with demons and vampires and angels galore... The flu had always been a penetrable foe in the past, but the latest strain came from somewhere else. It wiped out 99% of the world's human population, leaving the remaining 1% to either drown in misery or find new hope in narcissism. Twenty years later, Elijah falls into the latter category. Having discovered that he, and only he, has the ability to draw demons out of the Possessed, he decides that he must have been chosen to lead the 'new world.' However, his attempts to bring the 'chosen few' under his wing do not go as well as he hopes. Lindsey, on the other hand, falls into a category of his own. As a vampire, death is no stranger, but given the lack of newly deads to choose from after the post-Flu population drop, avoiding starvation has become a struggle. He survives by sleeping through his days, but the arrival of a past enemy and a less-than-wise decision to help a murderer force him back onto the road. Unfortunately, he quickly discovers that the new world does not follow the same logic that it did before. TL;DR - Most of the world died from a flu pandemic so there's a post-apocalyptic type situation where demons possess people.
