Jay West and his friends are all alone. Stuck in a world without superhumans, they try to adjust to living as regular people. 

But soon, that task may prove too much to bear as their actions seem to catch up with them. When an incident causes Jay to use his powers in public, he becomes a target of people he didn't know existed. A secret organization is out for blood. He'll need his friends more than ever to conquer this new threat.

Or, at least, that's what he thinks. Soon, he realizes he made a mistake when he chose Afterlight. But will his friends see it that way? Or will they become his enemies forever?

In the second book to the Power series, he will have to up his game to keep up with reality as he knows it. But is everything really as it seems in the world of Jay West?All Rights Reserved

Between managing a secret lair and making sure your mom doesn't stop loving you because you keep telling everyone she's dead, it's a really hard business to be good at? Add to that, the fact that somehow you got arrested because your cat sitter didn't take the day off and then you go around expressing your unconditional love for pancakes in a Super holding cell because technically they can't put you in a proper prison and you don't really have a choice because lawyers are expensive? And then, you realise your best friend is plotting go take over your spot as the greatest villain there ever was? Okay, maybe not the greatest, but you do come pretty close to it! To top it off, there's that one Superhero who's just so completely gorgeous, you couldn't imagine any harm coming to them? Because they're just that precious? I guess that makes me a Supervillain with minor time travel superpowers and a huge crush on a not so powerful Superhero? And all you have to do is protect yourself and everyone you love from your ex best friend/sidekick --because let's face it that's the highest level of praise for a wretched traitor here--and you also have to get out of Super Holding somehow? As times goes on, both families secrets get revealed and Bella's life isn't the same.
