There comes a time in life when you have to say goodbye to someone you hold dear, sometimes sooner rather than later, and its never easy.
--------------------------
Meet Emma Lynn Anderson, a confident young lady who wanted to attend Texas Christian University to become an athletic trainer but that all changed when a tragic event occurred. She became depressed, destructive, and hateful toward those she loved, in fear that they would abandon her. Garret-Emma's father had them pack up and move to Tennessee because he felt haunted by their now empty home, forcing Emma to start a new life at a new school.
----------
Meet Jason Scott, 18 year old basketball star . Jason is kind-hearted and silly, but hasn't had the best life. Instead of sulking around, he has tried to improve his life, no matter how much it hurt that he couldn't have his mom at his side anymore. Jason used his suffering, turning it into something good, he got better grades, and made sure he became the best point guard at East Harbor. He thought he had finally sorted his life out; until he bumped into Emma. At that moment, everything had changed. He had to know her. He had to figure out this girl, he barely spoke two words to her and he could tell she was broken. He wanted to help, but how?
-------
Will Emma open up to Jason when he comes to her, wanting to be her friend, or will she push him away, just like she has with the rest of her family? What will Jason do when he finds her breaking down in a field of flowers, will he help or back down, giving up on her?
