Rinai is more or less just a girl trying to get through her everyday life she long ago deemed as "normal" until one night something horrible occurs. Rinai finds herself in an unfamiliar place- or world for that matter- when she wakes from her so called "death" and is told that same world is actually her birthplace, and to top it off, she is denied any memory of it.
So what happens when Rinai finally agrees to become a shinobi? Why does she make an extremely rash and hasty decision that brands her as a traitor? What does Rinai do when she comes face to face with the very same person she witnessed die right before her eyes long ago? Will she ever get her memories of her childhood back? What's the big secret behind the Takeshi clan that makes them so feared and hated by many? And what the hell is inside of Rinai anyway?
While Rinai struggles to work with and trust the different personalities she meets, she raises a question of her own through the many obstacles and emotions she faces: Who -or what- is she truly?
