In the beginning of the barren 1900-century, there is no place for the weak, the lessers. The demands for survival are big, which only few can fulfill. Some people can't do it, so it's a hell out there for them. They are freaks. Freaks are complex on the outside, maybe have a third eye or a giraffe neck, or maybe just retards. Getting disgraced and laughed straight at face by people, life ain't so great. Then the freaks gather into one place, to live with the only ones who can stand them; theirselves.
A journalist travels to Dunkerque, France, to write a story about an infamous freak show with the oddest performers you'll ever see.
