Death's Game

Okay I lied, prologue isn't out yet. In my short-sightedness and naivete I had thought that I'd be able to still keep to my schedule during vacation. Obviously I was wrong. However, for my sake, as well as to relatively keep my word, I've decided to release a teaser of sorts, probably from around Chapter 9. Yes, I'm trying to write a novella or something. No, I have no guarantees how far I'll get. No, I have no idea if I'll finish at all, especially considering where I am right now in terms of keeping to a schedule and not procrastinating. But I'm going to give it my best shot.

So now that I'm done ranting and giving excuses, let me give you the summary! My current writing project is to write an adult-themed novella type thing. Adult themed you ask? Yes. I often-times feel like my hands are tied in terms of writing things: I feel pressured to play safe and avoid graphic imagery, due to make it "family-friendly" and "Christian-y". I'm going to try throwing caution to the wind and write a story that's not afraid to venture out: detailed battle descriptions, exploration of darker philosophical questions and themes, and a couple's love story. I realize that not everyone is going to be willing to accept it, so I've decided to do it this way: everything on my blog will be a "soft-release": I'll tone down any graphic scenes and anything else need be. Meanwhile, my Wattpad account will have the whole, unadultered story for those of you who are willing to get your eyes a little dirty and your mind a little challenged.

"Dude, you're totally overhyping this, what's it even about anyway?" The story is going to revolve around Melek, a farmer in the medieval time period. During an attack on his village, his wife was abducted by an enemy lord. Despite this, the lord of Melek's village does nothing. Melek then decides to take things into his own hands and plans to get his wife back, even if it means he has to do it alone.
