Heather and Kate, two 18-year old school friends, took a life-changing gap year in 2006. Backpacking around the world they experienced everything from the attempted seduction by an over-keen Kashmiri guide; the failings of a 1985 Honda Accord in the New Zealand remoteness; and the consequences of drink-spiking in South America; to the mystic wonders of Macchu Picchu and Easter Island; the surf beaches (and bodies) of Australia; and the eye-openers of Thailand.
The idea of spending 13 years in full-time education, followed by a further 3 years in university (and even more if you're really keen), can be too much for some people and so the "Gap Year" was born. Jetting off to far off lands without the confines of parents, siblings and the British weather at the impressionable age of 18 forms a very different sort of education.
With each adventure came new highs and lows for Heather and Kate as they took on the world, one naïve step at a time.

He is determined to go, though, which makes her mission difficult. Also... she falls in love with him while trying to accomplish her mission and while she spends time with him and his friends. He falls in love with her, too, and this causes problems with his married girlfriend Marjory. How will Sandy react when he realizes that the real reason why Katie glued herself to his side was to convince him to give up on his dreams? Well, regardless, it could ultimately save his life. Based on the true story of the mountaineering legend Andrew Comyne Irvine, or Sandy, the young 21-year-old Englishman who had a dream of summiting the tallest mountain in the world, and who aimed to do so with other mountaineering legend George Mallory. Whether they reached the summit or not is a mystery to this day. Sadly, they died on the mountain. Sandy's body hasn't been found while George's was found back in 1999. This story takes place right before Sandy leaves for Everest, and he is your average 1920's Oxford student. Most the events are based off of real events that happened with Sandy, as told in his biography called "Fearless on Everest" written by his great-niece Julie Summers. Meet Kyle and Kate, two 15 year old students who have a gift for thinking fast, quick, and smart. Oh, and meet the other 18 kids in their class. Some call them genius, some call them annoying. PART 1 The year starts off bad enough, that is, with earthquakes and snowstorms. And finally, when things starts to clear up, the first murder occurs. Right in front of their eyes. It seemed obvious who did it, but as the murderer wrote her confession, a completely different murder occurs across town. Shocked, the police rush over to gather the evidence and clues, but before they even assemble their evidence, the police are led to another death. One by one, deaths occur around town, faster than the police can count. There's not much in common with all of the murders, only the fact that all of the victims come from one class. In the course on one year, the class of 18 shrinks drastically. PART 2 As summer vacation begins, the remains of the class split. Five students tell their stories of meeting new people, near death experiences, and funny incidences. PART 3 More than what meets the eye happened in the course of the summer. The class comes back to a new year, utterly shocked to find that 4 new students have joined their class. Everything starts out alright, but people are getting frantic. The government sent in spies to watch the class for suspicious behavior, two of them students themselves. Two other students are hired to try to figure things out on their own. What nobody realizes however, is what's important. Outside the walls
War had just broke out between the states of America. Two states remained. Yet only one wins. One state had won by peace and one state had won by destruction. The day of the fight, the state of distinction launched a nuke. Yet they had under estimated the power the nuke had. It destroyed both states and it had seemed that no one remained. 3 years latter and a little city had grown out of the destruction. Emma was a resident of that city. Emma had a different childhood than most. "Go fetch the food!" or "Go get the water!" Were the most of chores she had to do. It was grow up fast or die in her city! On Emma's 17 birthday she would be old enough to go out side of the city walls and look for communication to other parts of the world. They had found a part of a cell tower that would finish off there hand made cell tower and needed a search crew to go get it and bring it back. Emma now being old enough she tried out. She had never been outside the city walls. We're most of the adventures have already gone once or twice.
