Alexa Baker has had enough of being trapped under her mother's supervision in San Diego, California. After six gruesome years in the city and four years at college, she takes up her mother's offer at an internship at their company's headquarters in New York City. At last it was a place where she could escape her demons and start fresh.
But a chance encounter at one of the city's hottest new bars leaves her frozen in her tracks. A person from her past has emerged, and she realizes quickly he is not the man he used to be.
