What would you do if you had the choice to change the world? What if it meant abandoning every belief you had and every lesson you'd been taught? Would you?

Rowan was born with one purpose. To serve the Ashe. Once you are born your name is put on a list of future soldiers. You are instantly enrolled into a training school. At 16 you are sent to fight for either the Ashe, who control what used to be America or the Thills, who control what was formerly Canada.

As the two sides fight for control, a select group, the Monocks, searches for the one thing that can either end or win the war. An Elemental.

Soldiers with a gift for an element is not uncommon. Very rarely some have two. Only once before has someone had all four. An Elemental is said to have all four and an unknown.

When a Monock is posted undercover at Rowan’s training school, powers are uncovered and everything isn’t as black and white as it seemed.
