After being forced to drive her to and from school every day for nearly a month, Lucas Reed begins to realize that despite that fact that he and Emma Dawson are so different, he enjoys her company. When she no longer needs a ride from him, they begin to drift apart so Lucas tries his best to get her to spend time with him. This is made difficult for him because Emma, smart girl with values and goals, she views Lucas as shallow high school jock who will make her regret spending time with him.
