I ask him as I go farther into the roo- I mean closet. He doesn't listen to a word I say. He lets the door swing close, making us trapped in the dark. "You are so oblivious!" I yell at him, full of anger. "All you do is go around, try to act cool, make out with girls, and-"

The fire alarm blares. I try to open the door. It's jammed. I peek through the window that you could see to the outside.

Rachel is a girl who has been always seen to be the nerd, but when she does a senior prank (forced) with Jake Landers, her life turns upside down. She has to wear a necklace, the same necklace that Jake does. The cursed rake necklace.

Jake knows things that no one knows. His past is filled with things that he can't tell Rachel. But he doesn't know that they are here, searching for him with one objective.
