We stare at each other for a second, just taking in the others face. "You're fascinating." I say breaking the silence. He quirks an eyebrow and I regret saying it, as I wait for rejection, again. But he only smiles moving closer. "You think so?" He asks, and I nod. I move to hold him. His chest presses against mine and warmth spreads throughout me. "So, so stunning." I say, breath wavering as he moves his face closer, we're inches apart. He begins to smile slowly, "I think you're fascinating too." He replies, holding eye contact with me. This is a Ryden fan fiction in a HS (high school) AU (alternate universe). Summary: Brendon, Ryan, Brent and Spencer are all juniors in high school. Brendon is the semi-popular student who's being conflicted with his family's religion, Ryan is the innocent and shy student who lives in two wars (his home and one within himself), Brent is the rebel with a lot of hurt and resentment held inside of him, and Spencer is the brutally honest one trying to make everything better. Giving support to each other is the only thing that will make high school easier for all of them. Trigger warnings include, but aren't limited to: alcoholism, dealing with an alcoholic parent, mentioning of abuse, panic attacks, some implied drug use, dysfunctional families, divorced parents, mentioning of suicide or death, psychological trauma Other warnings: Brendon being really bi but gay at the same time, Ryan being super feminine and super gay, Spencer being a sassy bitch, Brent being edgy, and almost all of the traits and nicknames are for a joke. Note: This is a work of fiction. Don't take any of this literally. There are some real-life references throughout the whole thing, but the rest is all fiction.
