Do not go into secret hidden rooms you stumble onto during said snooping- no matter how cool a secret hidden room behind a fireplace is. They prepared for how they were going to tell Isabel Ashe that she was wanted by the FBI for reasons they didn't know. What they didn't prepare for was finding the girl riddled with psychosis, among other things. Yet, they decide to take a chance with her when they see she has amazing control over her psychosis.
