Months on the cold, barren Suntralen Sea, fresh off proving herself as a Huntress--a powerful fighter and scout for her home--a woman returns home to disaster, annihilation for her people when she finds that a vicious creature called Mayarem has killed the entire warband of her village. She finds her only hope in a small enigma she found on her journey that begins to guide her far away from anything she's ever known.

Her journey brings her far, far from her home to the west--a country called Artadam, divided into two in a bitter civil war. There, she meets a young man named Zypher with a purposefully hidden past that could affect war--and beast--torn Artadam.

No one ever knows the whole story... Nestled deep in the forests of the Pacific Northwest, something is emerging. Kept in absolute secrecy, it seeps into a fading town, quietly shared from person to person. For Alden Bensen, a directionless high school graduate, this discovery could mean an escape from his empty existence. To Rachel DuValle, perpetually underestimated and dismissed by the world, magic represents a chance to become something much greater than herself. In the face of an unsuspecting world, their decisions shape the growth of a budding society discovering untold power. This potent force offers anyone the power to change humanity forever - or send it cascading into swift and total annihilation. ----- The Last Science is an ongoing science-fiction / low-fantasy web novel series. New chapters will be posted on Fridays for as long as it takes to tell the whole story. For Wattpad only, chapters are split up by individual scenes-if you would prefer the whole chapters in single pieces, please visit my homepage or another site where I post this story, thanks! Weird visions, nightmares and unexplainable paranormal events were occuring around her. Was this all real or just in her imagination? On Aurelia's eighteenth birthday she'd finally had enough of her insufferable family. She packed up her belongings and ran away. Away from the life she'd always known and away from the iniquitous people she'd to call mum and dad her whole life. Instead she ran towards a new life and new beginning. It was on this journey that she met him. Tristan Hawthorne. The person who held the answer to all her questions. Aurelia would soon discover not everything is as it seems and nor is she. "If her head wasn't stuck under water she would have wailed and cried. Her body trembling. She had no sense of self. Hardly noticed that the water's temperature had dropped further to a freezing degree. "There was just one thing. One solid thing. That was her tether to the world of living and through which she knew she was not dead. Her ears were pressed against the beating heart of another person." ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Nadia spends her days with her over protective mother who wants to lock her up in a cage if she could. She goes to school only in the promise that she will act like an invisible wall and not interact with anyone. She has come to accept her life as it is and learns to live with it. Nothing can change her life now. But something does change. Her mundane life is overthrown when two men barge into her house .
