"You were too bad for a little square town, with your hip hop hat and your pants on the ground. Heard you cussed out momma, pushed daddy around, 'fore you tore off in his car." A little song fiction on my favourite song. It is really an amazing song and it's kinda funny when you first listen to it, but it's pretty deep.

At night, you like you drive around this town, let the cops chance you around. This isn't the life you wanted for yourself, but it's all alright if you find a station on the radio playing a song popular when you were in high school. From the quiet desperation of a grocery store cashier to the alcohol-fueled haze of a young woman in a bar, "The Future of Dead Trees" is a collection of short stories and poems that delves into the lives of the lonely, the lost, and the searching. These tales explore the awkward, often surreal, moments of everyday life, following characters as they navigate grief, anxiety, and the messy business of coming of age. With a blend of dark humor and raw emotion, this collection paints a poignant and unforgettable portrait of what it means to be human in a world that often feels just out of focus.
