This is a story my sister made up while we were at the pool a few years ago, now. I might've (I did) do some spoofing up on the plot and characters, but she came up with the story and it's hers. It's not an actual STORY, but it's a fun little tale straight from the mind of a 6 year old in 2017. Enjoy!

Tension between mermaids and humans had always been high, especially after the queen of the mermaids had been killed by humans, regardless that it was an accident. So many years later when Princess Muriel becomes curious about humans, she keeps it to herself. Muriel lives in a castle with her father, sisters, and best friend, Percy. Some of her sisters blame her for their mother's death so Muriel avoids them when at all possible. She gains an interest in humans and trails after their ships. For humans, mermaids are bad luck so she knows that they won't attempt to harm her. The first time Prince Philip steps foot on a fishing boat he witnesses the crew catch a mermaid. Although terrified, he moves forward to help untangle her as no one else is moving. He prays that she'll forgive him. Worry forms when she takes a lock of his hair. Was that a way of marking him? Regardless, he doesn't fight, not wanting to make it worse. Worry increases when she's spotted again. Muriel begins to develop a crush on Prince Philip after he frees her from the net. When her sister's displeasure with her grows worse, Muriel seeks to avoid it. In a desperate attempt to do so she finds herself cave of the sea witch Minerva. Philip's kindness remains prominent in her mind when Minerva offers her a choice to be a human. Hesitantly she agrees, unaware of how different the human world from hers. Philip's bodyguard begins to catch on that Muriel is different and Percy and the king quickly become desperate to find her. My own version of "The Little Mermaid" by Hans Christian Andersen. Coming into the human world was definitely not my idea but I had no choice. I am the mermaid princess of the North American seas. The most powerful water monster had taken both my tail and my powers. In order to restore them and defeat him, I needed to find and gather the remaining 6 mermaid princess from each continent. We needed our tails and powers back in order to save the ocean from him but there is one main problem. If we tell a human we are a mermaid we immediately die and turn into water so we can't just go around and ask everybody if they were mermaids. The only times when humans can know that we are mermaids is if they find out themselves that we are mermaids. The seven mermaid princess must find each other by mermaid clues and looks. Long ago the Mer-people lived happily underneath the oceans until their Queen fell in love with a human. She got pregnant for him. But her people found out and condemned her, she was dethroned and cast out of the kingdom for doing the forbidden. Having no where else to go, she went above water (when above water Mer-people have legs but only those that have been to land know of this.) to live with the father of her child. In nine months she gave birth to a son who had legs she named him Sasuke and gave him to his father before going back to the ocean to try and reason with her people but she was captured and locked up. In her absence a new king and Queen from a different family had been appointed. And they had a daughter named Sakura. Find out more in the book.
