Whispers in the wind

Ellie slipped on her coat, and wrapped a purple scarf around her short neck. I stood, waiting, all ready covered up.
"You ready? It is going to be cold..." She warned. I nodded, yes. She turned the knob on the door, wind making her golden
locks fly up in the air. She smiled at me and whispered, "Can you hear them? Can you?" I stared at out the door, the wind
stinging my face. "Yes," I responded. In fact, I could hear the dozens of voices in the wind, mumbling something I would
never know.
