Kyler Muir dreaded the next two weeks more than anything else in her life. She had that awful feeling right before you go into the dentist and you're afraid of what will happen, or the tingly sensation when you're about to find out what you made on your last test, but magnify that by numbers that are so large, that they don't even exist.
In the next two weeks, she had to mentally prepare herself for the possibility that the Beta, the man of her dreams and the one who stole her heart at the age of fourteen, could potentially be mated to someone who is not her. She was not ready for this and it had gradually gotten worse as the days went on.
What happens when he isn't her mate? What happens when she is mated to someone she hadn't seen as anything more than another wolf?
