"Why are we doing this?" "Why do we need reasons - scraping for pretty words to describe feelings we don't understand. I don't think that we're meant to know why." Sometimes it's the most unlikely of people who end up being heroes. Even when all they seem to do is run away. Eventual Elliot/OC.

Rating: Will eventually change to M for disturbing content, language, and sexual content. I'll put trigger warnings for chapters that contain warnings past what the show describes.

Disclaimer: I do not own Mr. Robot or any characters associated with the franchise. I own the plot to this story and any original characters.

WATTY 2019 WINNER Hale, a state of the art android, can do nearly anything a human can. He cooks meals, cleans and organizes the house, repairs broken appliances, and runs errands. He can even provide for the more carnal needs of his owner. None of these tasks should present any challenge for Hale, and they don't-until he meets his next door neighbour, Rayner. Rayner seems like an unassuming gardener, but he asks Hale a lot of questions. Does Hale wish he could smell or taste food? What would he look like if his appearance hadn't been chosen for him? From the moment they meet, Hale runs into errors in otherwise simple tasks. He experiences bizarre sensations that none of his diagnostic tools can explain, and struggles to appease the people in his owner's social circle. As the errors in his programming begin to wear on his owner's patience, Hale faces the most difficult decision yet. If he can't evolve to meet her needs, he'll be returned and recycled into parts for future androids. If he does evolve, is he still just an android? Or something more? In all this, Rayner is the only man who can help him, and Rayner only has one question left for Hale. What does he want? Hale wasn't designed to want anything, but perhaps he can find the answer in the man with all the questions. Fragmented Morality by UnlikelyKings
12 parts Ongoing Mature
When the world collapses around you and everything that was 'normal' decays, discerning reality is no longer an innate process, but rather a distorted sense of one's self. Reality was now something created on the basis of an individual's morality and a group's ability to coexist. However, when this was the way of living before the apocalypse, when this was how Christopher Peletier had to survive every day of his life- surviving based entirely on his step-fathers fragmented morality, what changed? What made now different from before? The answer is nothing. The world was exactly the same, and eighteen-year-old Chris had a plan. For his family, he separates himself from the truth. He knows he is more than what he was told, he knows what is, will not be forever. He knows he is strong enough to keep his loved ones safe, too. If he could just endure a little more so that, when the time came, he could take the opportunity granted to him to free himself, his mother, and his sister from their constraints. At the first chance he got, he was going to live by first destroying the part of his life that made his family quiet and miserable. That way nobody would ever be able to dictate the way he, or the ones he cared about, lived their lives. - This is just a story I'm writing alongside my main one when I am in the mood. This means there is nothing saying when it will be updated, but I do have plans for it just like my other one!

The Tea Shop [mxm]

28 parts Complete

Elliot is, and has always been, stuck in his home town. Sure, it's a fairly large city. Sure, all his family and friends are there. Sure, he has a job he absolutely adores. But he still isn't happy. No matter how much he loves working in Auntie Mae's Tea shop, baking cakes day in and day out, he can't find it in himself to be happy. He knows exactly what's wrong; he has a dream. His dream is to one day move to Paris and open his own bakery. Baking is his passion, and he wants to devote his life to it. The only problem is that he can't seem to get away from his current life to start a new one. He once told himself his studies were holding him back. When he was done with those, he used the excuse of renovating the entire Tea Shop. Then, when he finally couldn't find any more excuses, he gave up. He knew he was waiting for something to happen. The problem? He didn't know what. But what about that man who recently started visiting the shop? He definitely wasn't one of the regulars; his face, you would recognize. He comes every evening at six o'clock, and stays for an hour. Could he be what Elliot is waiting for? *Deals with self-esteem issues which I've been told might be triggering*
