Battle Scars (A Larry AU)

I never thought that I'd actually have to go back and fight, so it was surprising when I had received my letter in the mail this morning. I had only a few hours to spend with family since I have to be packed and on my way to Afghanistan by dawn. My girlfriend Eleanor, had been weeping on my left shoulder for a few hours now.

I hate to leave her on such short notice, but it's my job. I have to protect the ones I love in more ways than one. It's the correct thing to do in this situation.

Louis Tomlinson is in the U.S. Marine Corps on active duty. He hadn't expected himself to be called in to leave his family and friends and head to Afghanistan, but it sure as hell happened. He finds himself in an upsetting position as his family and friends say their goodbyes. Along the way, Louis finds four more fellow Marines on the way that were stuck in the same position he had been in. They begin bonding, growing closer and counting on each other through every step of their journey. Some Marines get killed, some get hurt, and some find themselves with battle scars all over their bodies and hearts. All they know is that they're doing is right, no matter how much it hurts.
