High school was miserable. If I thought getting picked on was bad... I should have seen my future. My fathers company was moved so we went all the way from America to the UK. I met friends. Espiacally Dan Howell. I thought my life was getting better until my dad killed himself and my mother became abusive. I needed a hero to save me. And that was Dan Howell... who I fell in love with.

Phil has been offered a job in America and he decides to take it as it hurts to be near Dan knowing his feelings will never be returned. But when Phil tells Dan he's leaving Dan starts to realise he feels something something he didn't notice before...

Dan hated his life and that wasn't even an understatement. Each day he wished he had never woken up as he was tormented by those who were meant to love him.
