A Fairytale//
Based heavily upon Leelah Alcorn's suicide on the 28th of December 2014. She was a transgendered girl who lived in America, and was 17 when she was killed by vehicular impact. Her suicide note and real life story including her best friend, funeral, #LeelahAlcorn (and the hastag's impact on the world) and parents were all taken into deep consideration throughout this piece of writing, and hence, direct quotes from her suicide note may have been used. Also, various quotes from fairytales were taken, such as "listen with your heart, you will understand" from Pocahontas, "Never say goodbye because saying goodbye means going away, and going away means forgetting." From Peter Pan and "Trust your heart and let fate decide" from Tarzan.
I hope this tale brings to light the huge injustices the LGBT+ still faces today.
