I crawled through the window, and slouched against the wall, breathing heavily.

I closed my eyes a second, and when I opened them, I saw something completely horrifying; a girl.

Not only was this creature a girl, but it looked as if a fairytale threw her up.

She turned around slowly, and gave me a smile that I think was supposed to be sweet, but scared the heck out of me. She widened bright blue eyes, but kept her sickly sweet smile.

"Are you my prince? Are you here to save me?" she asked in a super high pitched voice.

I raised my eyebrow at her. "Excuse me?"

"Are you my savior? Are you my rescuer?" She asked again.

I shook my head slowly. "I'm sorry, but I don't think so."

She narrowed her eyes. "Then why would you come here?" she asked, her voice very cold.

There are villains. And then there are princesses.

The two of those never mix unless it's to cause chaos.

And that was never Xander's goal. Xander wanted the life of a normal villain, to cause mischief in his little village. He never wanted to be part of a fairytale. But fate happens and he had to be in one.

Just not in the way he expected it.

What seems to be a match made by the avaricious King of Kaupa, turns out to be a match made by the gods. Folktales and legends are the essence of childhood, but there comes a time when they must be left behind. Or must they? * * * I tilt my head to look at him. I have tears in my eyes; one is running down my cold cheek. I see his eyes widen and him falling to his knees beside the tub. He grasps my left arm forcefully, his eyes wide with fear. "You will never have me..." My voice breaks, but I manage to force out the words that are edged in my mind, and in my heart. "I curse you, everything you ever love shall die, everything you ever try shall fail, everything you ever wish for shall be denied you, my curse will ruin you, but the gods... the gods will end you..." I draw in a shaky breath, and gather the last of my strength. "The gods are as sardonic as they are vengeful... You shall die by the hand of The Spirit Warrior..." In the few moments after I say those words, there is utter silence and the only thing I hear is the sound of my blood hitting the water in the tub, which is already painted red. I see him opening his mouth and yell at me, yelling my name, but I hear nothing. I close my eyes and I feel only the blood steadily dropping from my wrist. "Put me in the same coffin..."

"I'm sorry," my dad said. I was starting to get confused. "For what?" I asked. But I had finally got it. 'Ash?!' I called out. Nothing. I pictured my wings sprouting out of my back. I turned around and my wings weren't there. "What did you do?!" I yelled at him, tears running down my face. "I'm sorry, cupcake," Ethan said as he stepped towards the cell. "No! Get away!" I yelled.
