His eyes were practically burning though her soul, if that was even possible. "That man doesn't even deserve you," he spat, anger and possessiveness in his tone of voice. "You know it. I know it. Even your sister knows it, and so does your kingdom. I may not deserve you, but I can treat you better than he can."
The way he acted, it didn't terrify Ellari. But it made her feel overwhelmed with emotions that even she didn't know how to describe herself. All she could do was make those sniffing sounds while she was in tears. "Prove it," she stated, her voice rough with emotions.
The moment she said those words, she immediately regretted them. But it was too late. Too little, too late. She already said them. However, Nathaniel was grateful she said that. Then, without another second he moved her head closer to his, and he smashed his lips against hers.
