A little poem I wrote at 12 midnight trying to release some feelings I felt since January and throughout the course of summer 2013. I know it's long overdue but I'm just really mending a broken hea
It's simply about trying to get over a love that will never be, love that lost it's flame and love that is no longer accompanied by hope. If you ever felt the same way, I hope you remember my poem everyday.

Sorry? Sorry for what? You didn't do anything. This will never be your fault. I don't even know where to start. There is so much i want to say. But the more i look at you the more it hurts me. I've tried to release this pain in so many different ways; But writing about you seems to be one of my faves. I don't understand how I find closure When I know it only lasts until the poem is over. Potent Amour
I made a promise, a commitment, a vow, and an oath that I'd never fall into the brutality they call love ever again, as it is something not to be toyed with. Think of it this way: Love is like a scented candle. The candle stick and the waxed aroma make the candle itself. Then it's ignited by a great inferno, and together, they make a beautiful thing. It burns for a long time, but then it loses that flame, that spark that ignited the creature. I guess the two most important ingredients gave up on each other. "Love" can be a metaphor, a simile, but most of all, a promise. A promise that can't be kept, something that waits until infinity to be broken. "I won't let anyone harm you..ever again." He promised, eyes filled with determination and possessiveness. Afterall, she is his...only his. "I know." She smiled kissing his cheek, her eyes filled with hope and happiness. ~~~ "I...I wi-ill protect you.." He pleaded, his voice cracking. He took a tentative step forward, but she recoiled, her body trembling with the weight of past pain.
