Many times throughout their lives, Drew and Aksana are pricked by each other's thorns, and everything goes bad. Through high school Aksana becomes horrendously bullied by her peers, and to cope with her depression she turns to self harm. Nothing good ever comes from self-harm, and that especially applied to Aksana. Aksana's life is a roller coaster, and it contains everything from depression to genetic disorders taking the lives of the people she loves dearest.
