17-year-old Trekkr faces extermination in the Clan Cull. His Alpha Wolf leader has decreed that a certain number of young Wolves must fight to the death to ensure that the manbeasts survive through the winter. Trekkr knows that the Cull is an honorable way to die -- if he is chosen in the lottery to fight. The trouble is, Trekkr may have to kill someone he loves.
