Mikey is a shy, depressed bass player for the band known as 'My Chemical Romance'. He has issues with self harming and substance abuse, the only person who knows about his issues is his brother, Gerard and even he doesn't know it all.

Sixth year Hufflepuff Patrick Stump had it all: good grades, a large group of friends, and a loving boyfriend. He expected his sixth year to be perfectly normal, at least by wizarding standards. However, all of that changes thanks to a job opening in Chicago, a mysterious new neighbour, a seemingly blank piece of parchment, and a powder blue Ford Anglia that might just have the ability to fly. Gerard is new to the school.. he finally got kicked out of his old one, now being forced to go to school with Mikey, not that's it's a bad thing. unlike what people would thing, Gerard and Mikey get along great..it's just other people that bugs Gerard. he sticks out like a sore thumb, hes soft spoken and has pretty feminine features as well as dressing up in pastel clothes (skirts). he gets into fights a lot and he's not afraid to stick up for himself but it gets tiring so he normally lets his bully's do whatever they need. at his new school he meets Frank. he's known to not let people push him the wrong way and he'll call you out on your bullshit. Frank finds Gerard...uh, interesting. it's hard to tell what Gerard is thinking most times and that really bugs Frank. Gerard tends to be in his own and Frank wants to change that...but how can he? Gerard will forever be known as the "cross dresser" and Frank will always be seen as "too good" for Gerard.

Following Fall Out Boy's break up, Patrick's natural habit of music making and tentative performing blossomed into a lucrative solo career. But his departure was the very thing that explosively ended the already distant friendships between him, Pete, Andy and Joe. Eight years later, each of the boys have gone their separate ways, though they still long for each other beneath the surface. When Patrick suffers a public breakdown all three of his friends are spurred into action from a desire to help his friend. But Patrick's entanglement with the industry proves to be far deeper and darker than any of them expected and all four of them will have to heal the cracks in their friendship if they are to pull him free.
