There we stood, hand in hand, facing the mirror.

I looked at myself, my brown hair disheveled and my eyes hollow. My skin was so pale that I looked almost ghostly, and bruises scattered my face. I resembled everything I didn't want to be: fearful, hurt, empty.

Then I looked at her. Her cheeks were flushed red with excitement, and her blue eyes were glowing with energy. That was what I wanted to be. Excited, energetic, happy. 

And at that moment, I made a decision.

"I want to know who you really are" she said. "If you knew you would run" he said. "Shhh.. Just one more" he said as he kissed her lips and was so wrapped up with the innocence present in her eyes. "Hold me" she said looking deep into his eyes. "Don't leave me" she said. "I can't stay" he said. "Why are you leaving?" she asked crying. "Don't worry we'll meet again" he said and walked down the lonely dark halls. "BYE" she whispered.

"I told you before, my dad left it to me, I swear." I said truthfully. She looked at me for a few seconds, thinking. I couldn't shake the feeling that everything about her was cold. "Well, even if you don't know anything, she'll come for you. And I will have the answers I want." She said with indifference before adding huskily in my ear. "And... I think we can have some fun together while you stay. Don't you agree?" She said as she laughed again and gave me her signature smile.
