I can't believe it. I made it this far to end up with the guy I love. After everything I've been through... I'm here in the place I want to be. It feels amazing knowing that everything worked out. I have everyone I love sitting out there.
I'm waiting to walk down the aisle to go marry the love of my life. I turn to my dad, with a nervous smile on my face. He looks at me in content, like its the last thing he'll ever see.
"You nervous, Em?" He asked me
"A little. Okay... Maybe a lot" I replied
He laughed a little looked me in the eyes and said " It's going to be okay. You wanted this."
I believed him. The music started playing and my hands started shaking. My dad grabs my arm and we walk down together. He hands be off to my soon-to-be husband. He holds my shaking hands and whispers to me "Relax, everything's okay. We're finally together"
He gave me reassurance. We were holding hands, saying our vows, promising to each other to be there whenever we need it and to love each other unconditionally. Just as I'm about to say I do....

The world started to go in slow motion as Verity moved behind me a flicker in the corner of my vision. "David, I can't hide anymore." He said. As David's eyes went from me, to Verity, filled with concern. David looked over my head at Verity while he was holding my hands in his. I heard the crowd gasp, before everyone started to whisper. I just graduated high school and instead of celebrating it with my friends. I choose to go on a bus for an hour's ride to my sister's to celebrate my graduation with her and her friends. "Hold on your bow tie..." I trailed of as I stepped closer to him, and he straightened so that I could do whatever it is I wanted to, as he looked at me in confusion.
