Grace Nelson is your typical quiet, shy girl. Grace can normally be found with her nose stuck in a John Green novel, which she would much rather do than be bothered with humanity, especially her rich author parents, who can't be bothered with Grace either. Every summer they send Grace, along with her best friend, Valerie, to Camp Hawthorn, a camp for kids whose parents don't actually care. Grace has been in attendance since she was ten years old and stopped being cute enough for her parents to care. Camp Hawthorn used to be fun, but as a 15 year old, it was the same old boring story.
But last year was different. Last year the loud, vivacious, glorious Lucas Wagner showed up for the first time. Being kind and funny and smart, Lucas is everything the introverted Grace wanted and everything she had ever wanted to be. The second she laid eyes on him, she loved him. Happy ending, right? Haha, wrong. The one problem in the story of Lucas and Grace is this; Grace is strictly anti-social and has never spoken to Lucas Wagner in her entire life, not even to say goodbye at the end of the summer. She couldn't even wave goodbye as his father's car drove Lucas Wagner right out of her life for nine months of school and torture and silence.
But now those nine months are over. Now 16, Grace and Valerie and Lucas are heading back to Camp Hawthorn this summer (for the final time, being the maximum age) and this time around, Grace is determined to make sure her life is never as dull and boring as it was without Lucas. Grace will attempt to make Lucas fall as hard for her as she did for him. She's on a deadline, though. She has to make him fall before autumn come and takes Lucas out of her life. Because if she fails, Lucas will be gone forever.
Elliot Jensen and Elliot Fintry have a lot in common. They share the same name, the same house, the same school, oh and they hate each other but, as they will quickly learn, there is a fine line between love and hate.
