Amber Brown, a typical 17 year old, with only an alcoholic father and nothing to live for. Every day was like the one before and there was nothing special about her life, until one day. 

On the drive home from work with her step father, she feels an intense pain. Her back itched with pain. Her head pounding. Her spine cracked and her muscles ached. Something sprouted from her back. Something soft and feathery and probably the most beautiful thing she had ever seen.
