Emily Gager had the perfect life. At home. There was privacy and food and peace. But then, Emily's parents leave for a trip. Even though Emily has never done anything too bad, they don't really trust her to be home alone. So they ask an old friends son to stay with Emily until they get back.
Emily has not choice, but to stay at home for a month with a guy she hates. She has always despised Jake. He's cocky, annoying, and rude. Staying with him wasn't supposed to be fun. But when a little something-something happens. They end up having a great time. Except for the occasional fights and pervertive moments.
How will things go when Emily's boyfriend, who's been in Australia for three years, comes back home? And what happens when Emily's parents come back? What happens when Jake's father, and alcoholic, comes and pays Jake and his mom a visit?
