When people hear the word mental institution, generally they get timid and uncomfortable. It's a word that represents the freaks of the world.
But people tend to forget one small thing: Everyone in the world is hiding behind a mask of sanity; some people simply lose their mask.

I, Kaia Carson, am starting to think I never had one to begin with.

Meet Kaia Carson and her two closest friends. The most demented group you'll even come across. Each of their lives brutal and unbearable. After an unexpected visit, she is forced to take action and break out of the institution, but she won't do it alone. A crazy plan to any other...but crazy is all she knows.

During their mere hours of freedom, Kaia is captured during their expedition across the country by the mysterious and eerie prince of hell, Theon.

What are Theon's intentions, and what is this 'ritual' he keeps going on about? All she knows at this point is that she doesn't want to find out. Surely its obvious that being dragged to the deepest Pits of Hell wasn't on her list of daily tasks But neither was spending a year in a mental institution. She got out of that Hell, she can get out of this one too. She needs to escape quickly. Will Kaia be able to fight through the bloodshed, forbidden love and the unknown? At this point she can't help but think...the insane asylum was paradise in comparison.
