"Café Vanellas sits in the middle of a bustling side street just off downtown Montréal, and here's an interesting factoid: it's staffed entirely by elves. " ===== In a world populated by humans, elves, satyrs, dragons, and the spirits of other clans long past, Toriv Vanellas is just a 30-something Montréal city elf trying to make a decent living as a small business owner. Surrounding him are his sometimes overbearing but always loving parents, friends of all kinds, a string of men of varying repute...and a university professor by the name of Mahendra Singh, whose timid exterior may be concealing the man to end the parade of men. A story about family, friendship, identity, duty, love, and coffee. {First draft, as of yet unbeta'd. Cover image by @boysterous.}

Meara had it all, and now he's about to lose it all: the cafe he co-owns is floundering thanks to some construction going on next door, and if he loses that, he loses his job and his home. With both home and livelihood on the line, he and his partner Danny are doing everything they can to stay open, but nothing seems to be quite good enough. Until a regular customer, Josselin, hears of their trouble and offers his services as a freelance business student. And, oh no... he's cute. An assistant he might want to date is the last complication Meara needs in his already complicated life. A Sheraton Academy AU.
