With it being five years the government has lot too much moneys and is getting desperate. 

So much that they are bringing the purge back, not as an annual even but as a five year course. With the purge lasting five days.

Jeremiah, Tristan, Bruno, Alyson and more are once again tested and forced beyond limits they knew existed.

As society crumbles, other countries see America as a target.
