"Promise me..." She whispered softly, "Promise me you will" Dante turned away, uncertainty clear in his eyes, even in the dim lighting of the moon. Maddalena tightened her grasp on his gold rimmed, red and black mask, disregarding the fact that it would soon wrinkle. "It'll be dangerous for you-" He spoke softly, and was but swiftly interrupted. "I know it will be. I knew it would be from the start," She let go of his mask and gripped the fabric that clothed his chest and let her head fall down and lean against his shoulder, "But I promised you I would. I promised I would follow you to the ends of the world, and I intend to keep that promise." A playfull smirk crossed his lips and he lifted Maddalena's chin up and gazed into her dark orbs. He knew clearly that this was one girl that he couldn't get rid of. Her heart was determined and she was strong willed. He should have known better than to toy with someone's first love.
