Once, there was a King. He was very powerful and fierce. Everyone was afraid to anger the King.
But the King was not cruel, he was kind and compassionate. He cared for his people and allies, his people loved and respected him.
He had a Queen, a strong and beautiful woman to ever exist. They had a daughter, who could rival her mother's beauty and exceed her father's strength and power.
The King and the Queen loved their daughter dearly, she was delicate as a flower.
Other kingdoms were threatened by this Princess and had sought to kill her.
One day, as the Princess played with her friends, the Princes from other kingdoms, an assassin appeared.
The youngest Prince, who she was with, tried to defend her with all his might.
But alas, the assassin was older and therefore stronger and knocked him out.
Just before the assassin killed the Princess, the Queen shielded her and was killed instead.
At that moment, the sky turned crimson.
No one is sure what had happened next and what was the cause but, when the guards and the King arrived, they came to find the young Prince hurt but not wounded and unconscious and the Princess sat bloodied but unharmed beside her mother, crying .
The assassin was torn into pieces, evidence of brutal killing.
No one knew the reason as to why the Princess was bloodied. Some say the Queen had done a curse before she died and the blood of the assassin splattered to the Princess.
After the incident, the Princess vanished and never returned.
"Do you know this story, Catherine?" Josh asked, locking gazes with me.
"The Crimson Princess" I replied, confused. "It's an interesting story that my father had told me... but I don't see why you're telling me this?"

It is difficult to stay with the people who look down at you like you are some kind of disease. It hurts when they don't want to acknowledge you for the good things you have done. It hurts when your family rejects you only because you are quiet and weak saying you are good for nothing.
Annie Ryan was nothing but a quiet, innocent teenager waiting for her mate to save her from the dark hell she was living in.
