After two years of watching my classmates grow up and enter this world, I thought it was my turn, now. I thought my college life would be like a coming-of-age movie. But in reality? It wouldn't make a good story, of any kind - not even a sad one. The only thing I found were shiftless friends, stifling academic pressure and heartbreak. So now I was home - a little bruised, a little broken. A few dreams in shards around my feet. Turns out, I needn't have worried. The summer that followed changed my life. The summer of - after a hectic, stressful year - nothing at all. Nothing, and yet - everything.Complete

I had no say in moving to a new town, but it turned out to be better than I expected. I made new friends, screwed up my chances with the guy I liked, dated two other guys, and fought with my family constantly. Sound confusing? A New Love
Ever since Shelby moved away from her hometown she has missed everything about it; the feel, the people, her (pretty much but not really) sister, Celeste and her boyfriend, oops, EX-boyfriend, Laine. Just before she moved away they broke up, they made up at the airport as she left but they never got over each other. Shelby has now been in her new town, Sherwood Park, for three years (Shelby is 14). She has had some bad times, and some even more good times, like meeting all her new friends. Since being there for three years, Shelby starts to develop feelings for someone else. When Laine makes an unexpected visited he realizes that Shelby moved on.
