It's the last year of high school for Jane Macallan and she's had enough. More specifically, she's had enough of Charlie, her stepfather. She's finally decided to stand up for herself because she knows that if she kept on letting Charlie mentally abuse her, she'll finally break. But the thing is... she doesn't really know where to start.

After living with Charlie and his abuse for almost eleven years, Jane has struggled to find confidence in herself and the people around her. She doesn't know who to trust and who to confide to about her problems. With all of the emotion bottled up inside her, a tragic event that set everything in motion will finally help her realize that the strength that she was looking for was closer to her than she expected.

Whilst all of the heartbreak and sorrow, will Jane still find the trust and love that she deserves? Through this journey, she'll realize how some people, things, and events can teach and change a persons life for the better and for the worse.
