It was small and round, like the face of a five year old, shrouded by waves of blonde hair that fell to her waist, except for the bangs that brushed the top of her glasses. Behind them were giant goldeny-green eyes that shot out across the room every time she lifted her face. She looked nervous, scared even, of all of us. Her lips, pale like baby's skin, quivered uncertainly. Then she bit down on the bottom one, keeping it from giving her away. She looked up at me and our eyes met through the break in her hair. I watched as her creamy skin turned to roses and my world titled on its axis."

Dive into the past and find out how John and Lindsey met, fell in love, and suffered tragedy in this short story prequel to Bound to the Ground.
